Programs Announced

Residents at Owen Glen will now enjoy expanded recreational
facilities and programs in the 350-acre master-planned community
located between Blairsville, GA and Murphy, NC.
Two
hard-surface tennis courts are presently under construction.
with a planned opening later this summer. The courts are on
Owen Glen Drive, close to the community's entrance on Hwy.
129, just six miles north of Blairsville. The courts will
be fenced and gated with private access for property owners.
The tennis location is close to the site of the future Community
House and pool, designed to be the social and recreational
center for the community. An exercise room, catering kitchen
and social gathering areas are all planned at the site.

Residents Move to Owen Glen: Residential Community Firmly

Owen Glen, a 350-acre master-planned community located
between Blairsville, GA and Murphy, NC, has welcomed its first
residents.
Mr.
& Mrs. Paul Gellinger moved into their new home on June
30, joining Mr. and Mrs. Art Delpup as the community's first
residents.
"It
was all about location, location, location," said Mr.
Gellinger of how he selected his new community. Plus it's
beautiful and well planned. We want to live the rest of
our lives here."
The
Gellinger's have lived in New Mexico and Florida, but they've
kept a summer home in Murphy for 20 years. Mr. Gellinger
is a former marathon runner who figures he's run in thousands

Entrance into Owen Glen Open

Owen Glen has opened a new entrance for the 350-acre private
golf community on Highway 129 just 6 miles north of historic
Blairsville. “Living at Owen Glen just got much more
convenient,” said Jeff Barbic, broker-in-charge. “Residents
are now just minutes away from Blairsville’s shopping,
dining, medical and professional services. We expect that
our visibility and close proximity to Blairsville will heighten
interest in our community.”
Work
on the landscaping, new entrance signage and a gate house
are completed and gates have been installed. Owen Glen has
two gated entrances the main gates are open each day from
8 AM to 6PM and the Ivy Log entrance gates are closed 24
hours a day but entry can be made through the keypad.

Glen property owners currently enjoy the 7,667-yard Old
Union golf course, the Golf Shop and related practice facilities.
The first phase of Ivy Log Creek Park has been completed

28. Fish feeders were installed prior to the stocking and
